Waikato have two members selected in the New Zealand under-18 lawn bowls squad to play Australia in the trans-Tasman tournament in March. Raglan's Ashleigh Jeffcoat and Jesse Russell (Hillcrest) will play in the triples and fours events at the Traralgon Bowling Club in Victoria. Fellow Waikato bowler Lynda Bennett has been named in the triples team for the Para Bowls event at the same venue.
